During this event, you will have the opportunity to take a brief guided tour of the WTO. This will be followed by a discussion between Mr. Martin Zbinden, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the WTO and EFTA, and Ms. Michelle Slade, Principal Adviser in the Trade and Economic Group at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand. The discussion will focus on current challenges and opportunities for the multilateral trading system in Geneva. Against a backdrop of growing pressures and heightened geopolitical tensions, the panelists will look in particular at the role of International Geneva in strengthening an open, rules-based system. You will then have the opportunity to interact with these two guests during a Q&A session.
The evening will end informally at a well-known Pâquis pub, Mr. Pickwicks, to enjoy the happy hour.
